Expect a most agreeable letter, for not being overburdened with subject (having nothing at all to say), there shall be no
check to my genius from beginning to end.
--Jane Austen
how should another know your mind?
And there was a beautiful view
But nobody could see.
Cause everybody on the island
Was saying: Look at me! Look at me!

I have no word,
But neither hath the bird,
And it is heard;
My heart is singing, singing all day long,
In quiet joy to Thee Who art my song.
For as Thy majesty
So is Thy mercy,
So is Thy mercy.
My Lord and my God.
-Amy Carmichael
Amy Carmichael's poetry strikes a distinct chord in me.
It's not that it has a spectacular rhyme or rhythm or anything of that order, but it's so personal.
it makes me want to cry.
it speaks to you right where you are, and you feel completely absorbed in the poem.
It's beautiful.
I do believe that God speaks through poetry (:
Indeed, Lord, I pray that You will always be my focus!
In everything and in all circumstances, yes even now when I'm not feeling particularly fantastic, I will sing songs of praise and of thanksgiving.
I thank You that I had porridge to eat just now.
I thank You that I had seasoned jellyfish from a packet to go along with it.
I thank You that I was reading Amy Carmichael's biography and read that poem again, and felt so encouraged.
I thank You because I know that wherever I go, You will be with me, and Your rod and Your staff will comfort me.
